Paterson Charter’s Asim Jones

Paterson, N.J….Asim Jones scored 27 points with 7 assists and Paterson Charter had three other players with 9 points as they coasted by Lodi 71-50! After a close 1st quarter, Charter outscored Lodi 27-7 in the 2nd quarter to take a 47-23 halftime lead! After taking a hit from Lodi in the 3rd quarter behind Roland Leiva, Charter righted the ship to take control again on their way to the convincing win! Moeshe Wilson, Jahar Pierce and Michael Ferguson all scored 9 points with Ferguson adding 11 rebounds and Wilson chipping in 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals! Leiva led Lodi with 19 points!

Hackensack’s Neftali Valentin

Hackensack’s Neftali Valentin and Shawn Reckley combined for 59 points on their way to a 76-65 win over DePaul! Valentin scored 31 points and Reckley finished with 28 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists as the dynamic duo caused problems for DePaul throughout! Hackensack started off strong taking a 16-2 lead to start the contest! DePaul fought back and took a 26-25 lead on a shot by DePaul’s Irv Watkins, but Valentin answered back immediately and Hackensack held on the rest of the way! John Judkins chipped in 8 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for Hackensack! DePaul was led by Johnny Cotton with 18 points, Watkins with 14 points and a yeoman performance from Tyler Koenig, who finished with 15 points, 15 rebounds and 3 blocked shots!

Paterson, N.J…..Jahar Pierce scored 17 points to lead Paterson Charter to a convincing 75-35 win over Elmwood Park! Asim Jones added 16 points. Jahsair Rosa had 13 points and 8 rebounds and Marlon Harris came off the bench to score 9 points and added 6 dimes! Charter outscored Elmwood Park 22-2 in the 1st quarter and never looked back! Essam Assaf led Elmwood Park with 17 points and 7 rebounds!
