You know your team is working on all cylinders when you have four players in double figures and your leading scorer is not one of them. Passaic Highschool held Karon Abraham to 9 points, but he got plenty of help from his boyz, as #4 seeded Eastside Highschool defeated top seeded Passaic Highschool 71-67 to advance to the Group 4 sectional finals at Ramapo Highschool  monday against the winner of the East Orange- Hackensack contest. Dave Robertson was the catalyst for the Ghost as his relentless work on the boards, particularly offensively was the key to the win. Robertson had 20 points,16 rebounds(10 offensive)and 4 steals. He and Kumar Davis, who had a double -double with 10 points and 10 boards, constantly put pressure on the Indians to rebound. Bryant Lewis effectively ran the show for Eastside with 19 points,5 dimes and 4 steals. The fourth double figure scorer was junior Antoine Alexander who dropped 11 points to go with his 5 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocks. The game was played in spurts of one team doing well and the other struggling and just as it seemed the game would be in control for one, they would lose the momentum that they gained. Passaic got a phenomenal game from senior Antwaan( Chico) Smalley with a game high 28 points, 8 rebounds and 5 steals and senior Elvin Morales who scored 20 points in his final game and leaves Passaic as its all-time leading scorer.
