HACKENSACK SUMMER LEAGUE: HACKENSACK WINS “CHIP”!

008Hackensack H.S., N.J…….. In a hot sticky gym, Hackensack H.S. and American History played a Championship game that went to the wire and in the end Hackensack came up victorious with a 49-46 win to become the Hackensack Summer League Champions! Rising Senior M.J. Richardson scored 21 points and rising Junior Ahmed Bailey added 15 points to lead Hackensack! The game was tight as American History behind the play of rising Senior Yvens Monfleury  American History took a 33-28 halftime lead! Hackensack came out fast in the second half and took a slight lead 38-37 as Richardson hit a long “triple” to put them ahead! The game went back and for006th the rest of the way but free throws by Hackensack late proved the difference! Monfleury led American History with 19 points! American History reached the Championship game by defeating North Bergen 35-29 as each team went into a cold spell but American History got out of the funk earlier to get the win! Monfleury was the catalyst with 17 points! Rising Senior Ronaldo Carrillo led North Bergen with 13 points and rising Freshman Kevin Gardner looked very good as he scored 10 points! Hackensack reached the Championship game by beating St.Mary’s 37-36 and overcoming a 23 point performance from rising Senior Tim Klarmann! Rising Senior Edward Emedoh scored 12 points and pulled down 8 rebounds and Hackensack got major contribution from rising Junior Mykel Swanston and rising Sophomore Toren Portee! Klarmann’s desperation three came off the front rim at the buzzer!!
