018Eastside H.S. Paterson,N.J…..Kennedy did not play their best game as Eastside came out tough, but by the end the Knights had pulled off a 56-48 win over the Ghost!

Despite missing 19 free throws and an abundance of layups, Kennedy managed to go on a 15-0 run  to turn a 43-30 deficit into a 45-43 lead! Senior Jaylen Colon(pic) who was in foul trouble for most of the 1st half and did not score, got all of his 13 points in the second half and his three free throws with 5:18 left gave Kennedy the 45-43 lead that they never relinguished! The game was actually won on the defensive end! Led by Senior Jamir Lattimore, Kennedy held Eastside to 5 4th quarter points and Lattimore had the tough assignment of defending Eastside’s high scoring Senior Lamar Johnson! Johnson was held to 3 points in the 2nd half after scoring 13 in the 1st as Lattimore played tough man up defense! Sophomore Jalen Hargrove was tough inside for Kennedy as he scored 8 points and pulled down 9 rebounds and Junior Gemir Robinson came off the bench to provide a spark with 8 big points and 6 rebounds! Jahmiek Williams scored 8 points and 6 rebounds for Eastside
