NJIC TOURNAMENT: DWIGHT-ENGLEWOOD AND CRESSKILL ADVANCE TO FINALS!

The Inaugural NJIC Tournament took place and has Dwight-Englewood and Cresskill reaching the Championsh004ip game!

Becton H.S…..Junior Judah McIntyre’s big 2nd half turned a close game into a comfortable 74-58 win over Lodi! McIntyre(far right) scored all 14 of his points in the last two quarters and dished out 7 assists as  DE outscored Lodi 44-25 in the 2nd half after trailing 33-30 at the half! Junior Jordan McKoy led the scoring with 22 points and 12 rebounds! Junior Lucas Warhaftig(right) added 15 points and 4 steals for Dwight-Englewood! Lodi was led by Senior Carlos Pepin with 20 points,10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocked shots! In the process Pepin became Lodi’s All-time leading scorer! Senior Randy Mendez finished with 14 points and Senior Charlie Battice added 12 points and 7 rebounds for Lodi!

 

 

                                                                                                       CRESSKILL  72          ST.MARY’S  62

Senior Harrison Lucibello scored 24 points as Cresskill overcame the illness of Senior star Lu006ka Radovich to defeat St.Mary’s(Rutherford) 72-62! After a devastating lost to Don Bosco Prep the day before, Cresskill shook it off and started off fast taking a 26-9 1st quarter lead! St. Mary’s wh011o have issues of their own with the lost of Junior guard Nick Boyd for the Season showed a lot of heart as they fought back to make it a game behind the play of FDU commit Marc Dadika and Senior Alex May! They battled but could not cut the lead to single digits as Lucibello scored 15 of his points in the 2nd half! Senior Wellington Ventura(pictured) added 14 points and 6 rebounds for Cresskill! Dadika finished with 23 points and May added 15 points for St.Mary’s!

 

Cresskill will play Dwight-Englewood Wednesday 7pm at Becton H.S.! Lodi and St.Mary’s will play the consolation game at 5:30pm
