PATERSON EASTSIDE’S SECOND HALF LIFTS THEM TO 56-55 WIN OVER ST.JOSEPH(MONT.)!

Paterson,N.J….. Paterson Eastside’s second half defense and the shooting of Sophomore guard Lamar Johnson(pictured) gave them a 56-55 win over St.Joseph(Montvale)!

Trailing 27-25 at the half, Eastside came out in the 3rd quarter fast highlighted by two “triples” by Johnson! They outscored St.Joe’s 19-9 in the quarter, created a lot of defensive pressure and despite comeback efforts by Joe’s held on to get the win! Junior Nhaz Smith scored 16 points and dished out 7 assists for Eastside and Senior Terra Gatling chipped in 8 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocked shots! Junior Chauncey Hawkins led St. Joe’s with 19 points and 6 assists, while Senior Nate Garvey added 13 points and Senior Bryan Griffin finished with 12 points!
