PRIMETIME SHOOTOUT: LINDEN, IMMACULATE CONCEPTION, THE PATRICK SCHOOL, GILL ST.BERNARD AND STEPINAC WIN!

East Orange H.S.  East Orange, N.J… The Primetime Shootout took place today and Gardenstatehoops caught fi012ve of the games! Linden, Immaculate Conception, The Patrick School, Gill St.Bernard and Stepinac went away with wins!

                                                                                        LINDEN  80     POPE JOHN  66

Senior Tavon Jones(far right) scored 32 points and Senior Mikey Watkins(near right) added 25 points to lead Linden to a 80-66 win 011over Pope John! Linden led at the half 30-29 and extended the lead at the end of the 3rd 56-47! Pope fought back, but Watkins and Jones clutch buckets late helped Linden maintain the lead! Junior Eddie Davis led Pope John with 22 points and Senior Aaron Clarke finished with 18!

 

 

 

                                                                    IMMACULATE CONCEPTION  55    MATER DEI  53

Syracuse bound Jalen Carey scored 22 points to lead Immaculate Conception to a 55-53 win over 008Mater Dei! Immaculate led for most of the game , but had to hang on at the end as Mater Dei kept inching closer behind Loyola commit Kenny Jones! IC held on behind free throws by Sophomore Zion Bethea and Carey! Jones finished with 16 points!

 

 

 

                                                             THE PATRICK SCHOOL  75     CAMDEN  52

Junior Al-Amir Dawes(right) scored 22 points and Senior Marquis Nowell(left) added 18, 009including 5 “triples” to lead The Patrick School to a convincing 75-52 win over Camden! The Patrick School outscored Camden 18-2 in the 3rd to put the game out of reach! Senior Myles Thompson led Camden with 12 points!

 

 

 

                                                               007GILL ST. BERNARD  63    NEWARK EASTSIDE  55

Sophomore Will Soucie(pictured) scored a career high 26 points to lead Gill St. Bernard to a 63-55 win over Newark Eastside! Junior Paul Mulcahy and Senior Alex Schachne each chipped in 13 points for Gill St. Bernard! The game was tight until the middle of the 4th when Gill took control! Soucie scored 23 of his points in the second half and was the catalyst to the win!

 

 

                                                                         STEPINAC  63     ST. MARY’S(ELIZABETH)  47010

Junior Xavier Wilson scored 16 points and Junior Joel Soriano added 13 points to lead Archbishop Stepinac(NY) to a 63-47 win over St. Mary’s! Stepinac outscored St.Mary’s 16-6 in the 3rd to take control of the contest! Senior Casmir Ochiaka led St. Mary’s with 14 points and Senior Jay’von Jackson added 12!
