HACKENSACK BEATS RAMAPO 70-57!

009Hackensack,N.J…… Hackensack looked sluggish and Ramapo at times looked like they would put the Comets away early! But in the 2nd half Hackensack’s Senior duo of M.J. Richardson and Edward Emedoh took over for the Comets!

Richardson(right) and Edwards(bottom right) combined for 29 points after intermission as they took a 28-26 deficit and turn009ed it into a 47-38 3rd quarter lead and went on to beat Ramapo 70-57! Ramapo led in the 1st quarter 19-11 and seemed in complete control, but Hackensack’s defense in the 2nd quarter held Ramapo to 9 points and they cut the lead to 28-26! Hackensack came out strong in the 2nd half as Richardson scored 17 of his game high 27 points and Emedoh scored all 12 of his points as the Comets led by as much as nineteen, 59-41! Sophomore B.J. Saliba scored on a layup to tie the game at 30 and Sophomore Razeyah Surrell gave them their first lead 32-30! After Ramapo Senior Matt Latka tied the game, Saliba’s layup gave Hackensack a 34-32 lead that they would never relinguish! Latka led Ramapo with 16 points and 8 rebounds and Senior Ryan Curtiss added 14 points and 9 rebounds! The win snapped Ramapo’s 19 game win streak!
