007img_1986Wayne,N.J……. DePaul will be fine as the Season goes on, but the indoctrination was painful for the young squad Friday as Bergen Catholic welcomed DePaul to big Boy Basketball and defeated them 95-61!

The B.C. impressive backcourt duo of Fairfield commit Taj Benning and Columbia recruit Gabe Stefanini did the majo008rity of the damage! Benning(far right) scored 23 points with 4 assists and Stefanini(near right) added 21 points with 7 dimes and 6 rebounds! DePaul stuck with BC in the 1st quarter, trailing 18-13 and feeling confident! The Crusaders preceded to outscore The Spartans 37-9 in the 2nd quarter to take complete control of the contest, finishing the half leading 55-22! Sophomore Jayson Earle came off the bench to score 10 points in the game as 13 Bergen Catholic players scored in the game! Freshman Zion Bethea led DePaul in scoring with 20 points and 5 rebounds and Sophomore Eddie Davis added 18 points! Senior Malcolm McLeod scored 12 points and grabbed 7 rebounds and Freshman Elijah Hutchins-Everett finished with 8 points and 10 rebounds!
