BERGEN COUNTY JAMBOREE RESULTS: CRESSKILL, ST.JOSEPH, RIDGEWOOD AND DON BOSCO PREP WIN!!

007Tenafly,N.J……. Gardenstatehoops was at Tenafly H.S. and saw Cresskill, St.Joseph, Ridgewood and Don Bosco Prep move on in the Bergen County Jamboree!

 

 

                                                                                               CRESSKILL  65        HACKENSACK  52

 

 Senior Matt Flood (right)scored 29 points, including 5″triples”  and grabbed 9 rebounds to lead Cresskill to a 65-52 win over Hackensack! Senior Sean Kelly added 20 points for Cresskill! Hackensack led 14-12 going into the 2nd quarter, but Cresskill took control as they finished the half, leading 27-20 ending with a three at the buzzer from Flood! Cresskill outscored Hackensack 24-15 in the 4th quarter to take control of the game! Hackensack was led by Sophomore Ahmed Bailey with 18 points and Junior M.J. Richardson with 12!

Junior Nate Garvey(right) started the game off with a put back dunk and never missed a beat as St. Joseph defeated Tenafly 61-42! Garvey finished with 26 points while also grabbing 7 rebounds and 4 blocked shots! Sophomore Chauncey Hawkins scored 10 points and Seior Sean McKinless scored 7 points,dropped 6 assists and pulled down 5 rebounds as St.Joe’s took a 47-29 lead at the end of the 3rd and cruised the rest of the way! Tenafly was led by Senior Amit Yona with 12 points! St. Joe’s will meet Cresskill in the quarterfinals!

Senior Brendan Kandel scored 20 points and pulled down 11 rebounds as Ridgewood beat Englewood at it’s own game and won going away 66-37! Ridgewood’s got up and down the court as fast as Englewood and did a great job finishing! They took a 25-8 1st quarter lead and went up by as much as 3o points in the contest! Senior Jon Davila scored 12 points and added 4 assists and Sophomore Quin Peene chipped in 11 points with 6 rebounds! Englewood was led by Senior Sidney Dawkins with 17 points and 11 rebounds!

Junior Omar Mostafa scored 20 points, including 4″triples” and Senior Lonnie Rivera(right) the American U. commit added 11 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and had a resounding dunk as Don Bosco Prep beat Mahwah convincingly 65-33! Don Bosco Prep took a 36-19 halftime lead and never looked back! Senior Alec Hill led Mahwah with 8 points! Prep will meet Ridgewood next weekend in the quarterfinals!
