BERGEN TECH OUTLASTS PATERSON EASTSIDE IN O.T. 82-80!

Junior Marc Martinez scored 25 points and Senior Andrew Yoon added 21 points and 5 assists to lift Bergen Tech to a 82-80 overtime win over Paterson Eastside!

With the score tied at 67 in regulation play, Martinez(far right) started the extra session by knocking down a “triple” then got help from his teammates as Yoon(near), Senior Firas Khansa, Junior Howell Nunez, Junior Brian Ibeabuchi and Senior Harrison Nicholas all scored, while Senior Lamar Johnson, who had an outstanding game and scored 11 points in overtime had only Junior Kimani Nevers score! The game was close the entire way as no team led by as much as 6 points in the contest! Eastside took a 32-30 lead at the half as Johnson hit a half court shot to give them the lead! Eastside at times seemed to get control, but every time Martinez, who scored 14 of his points in the 2nd half and Yoon, who also had 14 in the second half had answers for Tech! Ibeabuchi scored 12 points and dished out 5 assists for Bergen! Johnson finished with 35 points, including 7 “triples” and Junior Gody Jeannys added 17 points and 6 assists! Junior Michael Saldivar chipped in 11 points for the Ghost!
