CASTILLO THREE POINT PLAY WINS IT FOR PASSAIC 51-50!

005Passaic,NJ…. It looked like Passaic County Tech would pull off a tremendous comeback, but Passaic Senior Jon Castillo had other ideas! Trailing by as much as 11 points in the fourth quarter Tech got a four point play from Junior Eric Alford-Johnson as he made a “triple” and was fouled on the play and converted the free throw with 14.5 seconds on the clock to give Tech a 50-48 lead! But, with 5.1 seconds left Castillo(pictured) made his only points in the game as he hit a running banker on a three point play and his free throw gave Passaic a thrilling 51-50 win over P.C.T. Passaic led most of the game and took a 43-35 lead into the 4th! The first three quarters Passaic showcased their two big men in Sophomore Jamir Thomas and Senior John Oguiaye! Thomas finished with 12 points and 7 rebounds, while Oguiaye added 10 points and 9 rebounds! Junior Jeremy Greene chipped in 9 points and 5 assists for Passaic! Alford-Johnson  finished with 18 points, including 4 “triples” while Senior Tyree Frazier scored 11 points making two big baskets late to pull Tech to within 2! Yohanly Ortiz added 9 points for P.C.T.!
