Secaucus, N.J…..Senior Connor Cyran scored 21 points and pulled down 9 rebounds and Junior Sebastian Gianotti added 21 points and 8 rebounds to lead Saddle River Day to a 82-54 win over Paterson Charter and take the NJIC Championship! Saddle River Day shot the lights out in the contest as they made 15 three point shots! Their 12-2 run to start the 3rd quarter gave them a lead that they would not relinguish as they finished the 3rd leading 63-41! Junior Sean O’Neil scored 11 points with 6 rebounds and Freshman Richard Machado finished with 10 points for Saddle River Day! Senior Sadiki Miller led Paterson Charter with 18 points and Senior Marquis Harris added 9 points and 4 steals!

UNION COUNTY SEMIFINALS: ROSELLE CATHOLIC AND PATRICK SCHOOL TO MEET IN “CHIP”!

Kean University Union, N.J….. The Union County Tournament took place tonight and saw Roselle Catholic and The Patrick School advance to the “Chip”!

ROSELLE CATHOLIC 52 ELIZABETH 46

In a tough game Roselle Catholic, the #3 ranked team in the State defeated Elizabeth 52-46! Senior and Florida commit Niels Lane led Roselle Catholic with 15 points and Sophomore Corey Floyd Jr. added 12 points in the win! Senior Cliff Omoyuri chipped in 10 points with 5 rebounds and 4 blocked shots and Freshman Simeon Wilcher finished with 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and his dunk with 56 seconds in the game proved to be the back breaker play! Sophomore Jayden Pierre’s inspired play kept Elizabeth close as he finished the contest with 20 points and 5 assists! Senior Jordan Price added 15 points!

                                            THE PATRICK SCHOOL 59 LINDEN 36

The Patrick School, the #2 ranked team in the State methodically defeated Linden as their pressure defense was too much for Linden to overcome! Patrick School had 12 players score in the contest led by Adamo Sanogo with 12 points and 7 rebounds and Junior Chris Jiao with 11 points! It was Patrick School’s defense that proved to be the biggest factor as it held Linden to 13 1st half points and took a 43-19 lead at the end of the 3rd quarter! Consensus #1 Junior in the Country Jonathan Kuminga, Senior Noah Farrakhan, Senior Kurt Parsons, Senior Zarique Nutter all keyed the defensive effort!
