DAY OF THE UNDEFEATED’S : DON BOSCO PREP BLOWS OUT BERGEN CATHOLIC AND RAMAPO DEFEATS INDIAN HILLS![

Gardenstatehoops made it to two contests today that featured clashes between undefeated teams as Ramapo 7-0 met 5-0 Indian Hills and  9-0 Don Bosco Prep faced 5-0 Bergen Catholic!004

  Junior Amanie Craddock(right) scored 19 points and Senior Jack Ely added 15 points to lead Don Bosco Prep to a convincing 63-50 win over Bergen Catholic! Bergen Catholic started the game off by scoring the first 6 points! But,George Washington commit  Paul Jorgensen let it be known how this game was going to play out as he hit 7 straight points for Prep to give them a 7-6 lead enroute to a 16-8 1st quarter! The 2nd quarter was played evenly as Prep went into intermission up 28-20! The 3rd quarter became a nightmare for B.C. as Prep outscored them 19-6 behind 3″triples” from Ely and 2″triples” from Craddock! and took a 47-26 lead at the end of the 3rd! The 4th was pretty much garbage time as BC made the game respectable but there was no doubt! Ely added 8 rebounds to his total, while Jorgensen scored 12 points, dished out 5 dimes with 7 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocked shots! Bergen Catholic was led by Senior Nadi Beciri with 18 points and 11 rebounds! Don Bosco Prep improved to 10-0 while Bergen Catholic fell to 5-1!!

Ramapo Sophomore Matt Latka(right) scored 15 points and Senior Matt Grassi added 12 points to lead Ramapo to 53-41 win over Indian Hills and stay undefeated and move to 8-0! Ramapo led at the end of the 3rd 43-27, but Indian Hills scored the first 6 points of the 4th to get them  back in it! Latka preceded to make two buckets to give Ramapo a 47- 33 lead! Indian Hills continued to cut the lead as Ramapo could not put them away, but never was in desperate trouble! Ramapo constantly runs players at you as they played 12 in the game and they do a great job of wearing a team down, which is what happened to Indian Hills! Senior Ryan Warnet led Indian Hills with 14 points to go with 9 rebounds and Senior Mike Korst with 12 points! Indian Hills falls to 5-1 for the season!
