DON BOSCO PREP DEFEATS BERGEN CATHOLIC 54-50!

Ramsey,N.J……Don Bosco Prep started off strong early and held on in the 4th quarter to defeat  Bergen Catholic 54-50! Junior Brandon Anderson(pictured) scored 15 of his 20 points in the 1st half as his play led Prep to a 29-15 halftime lead! They pushed it to 17 at the end of the 3rd 43-26 before Bergen Catholic finally awakened! B.C. scored 24 points in the 4th quarter and cut the lead to one possession at the end, but a missed three pointer was their last gasp! Senior Lonnie Rivera finished with 13 points and 4 steals for Prep while Senior Will Downing more than held his own against Bergen Catholic star, Pierfrancisco Oliva scoring 12 points with 7 rebounds. Bergen Catholic was led by Junior Riley with 11 points, while Oliva scored 9 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and blocked 6 shots! Sophomore Taj Benning added 10 points!
