008Ramsey,N.J…This time it goes to Don Bosco Prep! After losing the first matchup of the year on a buzzer beater, Prep evened the score with a 61-59 victory of it’s own!

Rutgers commit Ron Harper(far right) scored 14 of his 16 points in the 2nd half to lead Prep to the win! Senior Matt Herasme(near) also scored 16 points and went 5 for 6 from the foulline in the 4th quarter! Senior Marcellus Earlington chipped in 14 points and went 1 for 2 from the line late that gave Prep it’s final margin! The game was close throughout as Bergen held a 00927-22 lead behind Junior Justin Regis”triple” to end the half! Harper came out fast in the 3rd, scoring 8 points in the quarter and helping Prep take a 40-39 lead at the end of the 3rd! The back and forth contest wasn’t decided until a missed B.C. “triple” to end the game! Bergen Catholic was led by Junior Zach Freemantle with 18 points and Junior Jalen Leach with all 11 of his points coming in the 2nd half! This rivalry is one of the best in the State and there is a very good chance that these two teams will meet in the Bergen County Finals and in the States! One of these teams will be finishing off the other’s Season! Believe It!!
