DWIGHT MORROW ENGLEWOOD PUBLIC VS PRIVATE: BERGEN CATHOLIC, DON BOSCO PREP,ST. JOE’S, CRESSKILL AND ENGLEWOOD WIN!

Englewood ,N.J……. The Dwight Morrow Englewood Public vs. Private Showcase pitted five games featuring good tough squads! Although West Milford vs Paramus Catholic game was cancelled due to the weather the other games were good and competitive! Bergen Catholic, Don Bosco Prep, St.Joseph Regional, Englewood and Cresskill all came away with victories!

Bergen Catholic could not play any better than they did tonight against Teaneck and have fortified themselves as the team to beat in Bergen County! Senior Justin Salem(second from left) scored 30 points, including 6 “triples and St. Joseph U commit Pierfrancisco Oliva(left)  dropped 19 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, dished out 5 dimes with two steals and a blocked shot as Bergen Catholic went on a 9-0 run to start the game and never looked back! Sophomore Taj Benning added 18 points for Bergen and Senior Anthony Uribe finished with 10 points! Teaneck was led by Sophomore stud Leondre Washington(right) with 33 points and Senior Tyler Dearing with 17 points! Bergen Catholic took took a 70-46 lead into the 4th quarter as the Crusaders hit 12 threes in the game in a terrific shooting display!

Senior Sidney Dawkins(far right) scored 25 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and had 4 steals and Senior Willie Woods(second from right) scored 20 points with 5″triples” to lead Englewood to a 95-86 win over St.Mary’s! Senior Darius Payne chipped in 14 points with 4″triples” and Sophomore Adrian Baucum chipped in 10 points! St. Mary’s was led by Junior Amir Hicks(left) with 27 points and Junior Tim Klarmann with 20 points!

Junior Brandon Anderson scored 20 points and 6’8 Senior Will Downing(left) added 17 points and dished out 6 assists as Don Bosco Prep defeated University  71-54! University stayed close for three quarters but Prep pulled away late! American U commit Lonnie Rivera chipped in 13 points with 7 rebounds and 4 assists for Don Bosco Prep! Senior Kyle Wright(right) led University with 14 points and Junior Tariq McKenith added 13 points!

Junior Nate Garvey(left) and Senior Andrew McGuire each scored 13 points and St.Joe’s took a 16-6 first quarter lead and coasted to a 57-39 win over Wayne Hills! Junior Dorian Hodge(right) scored 10 points to lead Wayne Hills!

Senior Matt Flood(right) scored 25 points and Cresskill had four players in double figures as they beat DePaul 74-65! Flood scored 10 straight points in the last 3 minutes of the 2nd quarter to turn a close game into a 37-23 halftime lead! DePaul fought back in the second half but Cresskill held on! Senior Zac Garcia scored 13 points, Senior Sean Kelly and Senior A.J. Gentile each scored 11 points and Senior Matt Ferrara added 10 points for Cresskill! DePaul was led by Senior Debon Bright(left) with 18 points while Senior Sean Willis scored 12 points and Freshman Khristopher Banks added 10!
