Farewell To Mack: A Tribute To Myles Mack!

Written by Cameron on . Posted in Garden State Hoops

When a Senior finishes his Highschool season, Hoops Journal likes to acknowledge the Players career! But in this case it’s even more special! You see, Myles Mack is family!!!! Not blood family, but Paterson family and Paterson Catholic family and Playaz Club family and Paterson Rec League family and 12 year old fall League family and more importantly The “L” Family(remember Myles?) So this is very special! Hoop Journal has known Myles Mack since he was 7 years old and the truth is, None of the things he has accomplished is a surprise! This kid was born to do this! He always played beyond his years and the saying was “Myles was here before and came back to do it right this time”! He is only 5’10 and 170 pounds and probably was made that height and weight to give others a chance! Myles was a killer when he was young and still is! But the main thing about Myles is he is a winner! He won at Paterson Catholic, then went to St. Anthony and not only won, but captured the Tournament Of Champions this season and the mythical #1 team in the country title! He has won in A.A.U., winning the prestigious IS8 Tournament in New York, and anyone who knows basketball knows how difficult that is! He is a fierce competitor and Rutgers University lucked up when they got him! Rutgers is not known as a big winning school, but he is a kid that can change the culture of a Program! He is a leprechaun and big time players will follow him! Just can’t see him losing there! Hoops Journal would like to finish by saying “Thanks for the Highschool memories Myles, it will not be long forgotten” and Good Luck in your future! There is no doubt it will be a success!
