FAREWELL TO POPE JOHN !

A day after a tough lost to Roselle Catholic in the Tournament Of Champions, Gardenstatehoops would like to acknowledge the special seniors from Pope John! A senior group from across the world, it would be hard pressed to find a mix of players like the group from Pope John! Moustapha Diagne, Max Zignorski, Jeromy Rodriguez and Damien Rance have left an indelible mark on the basketball community in Sparta! Diagne(right) is the leader from Dakar Senegal and has been a rock for Pope John as well as a skilled basketball player! He is a 6’9 forward who’s talent has given him the opportunity to play at Syracuse University! The 6’1 Zignorski’s(left) ability to lead a team through great play and unselfishness has landed him a scholarship to Fordham University! The 6’7 Rodriguez(bottom right) and 6’6 Rance(bottom left) who are from Dominican Republic and Australia respectively are both next level players and will be committing to Colleges in the near future! Rodriguez is an energy player who is a strong defender and a ferocious rebounder and Rance has the ability to fill it up from all over the court! This United Nation of Seniors have had a special impact on Pope John and have implanted their legacy in the lores of the school! Gardenstatehoops would like to congratulate the highschool careers of these special players and their families and wish for the best in their futures!
