JINGLE BELLS JUBILEE RESULTS: PATERSON EASTSIDE, HUDSON CATHOLIC, TEANECK AND LIFE CENTER ACADEMY ADVANCE!!

014Paterson Science Of Technology Paterson,NJ…. The first round of the Playaz sponsored Jingle Bells Jubilee had no upsets as the favorites all moved on to the Semi-Finals! Paterson Eastside, Teaneck, Hudson Catholic and Life Center Academy all came away with victories!

After ending the third quarter with a slim 26-22 lead, Paterson Eastside finally woke up and exploded for 28 4th quarter points to blow out Columbia 54-32!  Senior Asem Johnson scored 15 of his game high 30 points in the quarter to pace the Ghosts! Senior Shakur Juiston was a defensive wall as he blocked 6 shots and altered numerous others and Sophomore Nhazir Smith added 8 points and 5 assists! Columbia was paced by Senior Mike Runcie with 12 points! Runcie also reached the 1,000 point total in his highschool career tonight! 

 

 

                                                                                               TEANECK 66    NORTH 13TH ST. 48

Sophomore Leondre Washington scored 22 points with 4 assists and 3 steals to lead Teaneck to a 66-48 win over North 13th017 St.! Teaneck had to overcome the play of North 13th’s senior wing Omari Dill-Pettiford who scored 30 points on an assortment of ways as he did it on the outside and the inside! Washington had help from his Highwaymen teammates as Junior Nick Whitaker scored 16 points, Senior’s Zach Olukanni and Tyler Dearing each chipped in 11 points and Freshman Ja’Quaye James was strong with the ball as he dished out 8 dimes with 3 steals! Teaneck will meet Eastside in the Semi’s Saturday at 7:30pm!

 

 

 

 

                                                                                                 Hudson Catholic  77    Hackensack  49020

Freshman Luther Muhammad led four Hudson Catholic players in double figures with 23 points as they coasted against Hac019kensack 77-49!  Muhammad also had 8 rebounds and 5 dimes in the game! Senior Sammy Friday proved to be a problem for the Comets as he scored 20 points and finished strong around the rim! Senior Nassir Barrino scored 12 points and Freshman Jahvon Quinerly  scored 11 points for the Hawks as they took a 27-9 1st quarter lead and was never in trouble! Sophomore Ahmed Bailey led the scoring with 12 points and Junior M.J. Richardson chipped in 10 points for Hackensack! Sophomore guard Tyheem Burno dished out 8 dimes for Hudson in the contest!

 

 

 

 

                                                                                                Life Center Academy 69     Passaic  45

Passaic was game and willing, but Life Center Academy was just a little too strong as they defeated the Indians 69-45! Senior Dennis Tunstal scored 25 points and Terquin Mott added 15 points to lead Life Center! Malik Ellison scored 10 points, while Traci Carter had 7 steals! Passaic was led by Junior Jeremy Greene with 15 points and 8 rebounds! Passaic had cut the score to a manageable 11 point deficit but allowed Life Center to score on it’s final three possessions of the quarter to take a  48-31 lead to end the 3rd! They were never in trouble the rest of the way! Life Center will face Hudson Catholic in the other Semi-Finals at 6pm!
