KENNEDY OUTLASTS WAYNE HILLS 67-61 IN OVERTIME!

006Wayne, N.J……Senior Jamir Lattimore is one of the best defensive players in the State, and while he still played lock down D, his offense was the key to Kennedy’s hard fought 67-61 overtime win over Wayne Hills!Lattimore(pictured) scored 20 points, pulled down 11 rebounds, dished out 3 assists and 2 steals and his 5 points in overtime led Kennedy to the win! He and Senior Jaylen Colon scored all 9 of the Knights points in the overtime stanza! The game went into overtime as Senior Joey Belli hit a “triple” with 1:22 left to give Wayne Hills a 58-57 lead! Lattimore then went 1 for 2 from the line to tie the game with 1:08 remaining! Bad possessions by each team ended up sending the game into overtime! Senior Justin Wills made a “triple” to start the overtime and make it 61-58 for Wayne Hills! It was all the points they would get as Lattimore and Colon finished the game out with their 9 points to give the Knights the win! Colon finished with 17 points and Kennedy got tremendous efforts from their bench as Elijah Thomas, Joshuel White, Gemir Robinson and Ja’Waun Abrams all were key contributors! Thomas had a workman like 9 points and 8 rebounds! Belli led Wayne Hills with 18 points and 5 assists, while Wills added 14 points and Junior Jake Belli chipped in 10 points and 4 assists!
