MARKIS MCDUFFIE: MAKING A NAME!

Written by Cameron on . Posted in Garden State Hoops, Hudson, St. Anthony

018 St. Anthony Junior Markis McDuffie had a cup of coffee on the Varsity level for the Friars as they brought him up late last year and even started him a game, but this year he will have a chance to be one of the core players for St. Anthony’s! After losing Josh Brown, Hallice Cooke,Tim Coleman, Kentrell Brooks and Kody Jenkins to graduation there is a big opportunity for McDuffie this coming season! The Paterson native had a strong summer this year in AAU playing for Sports U and did enough to get into Rivals Top 150 for the Class of 2015, checking in at #142! McDuffie is 6’7 with a long wingspan and good athleticism who can really shoot the rock! He is getting better at putting the ball on the floor and is working on his low post game and his strength! Projected to reach 6’10 Markis has a lot of low and mid majors attention, but also has Seton Hall and Rutgers attention(doing an unofficial there this weekend)! It will be interesting to see his progression over the next two years as he definitely has a high upside!
