NORTH 1 GROUP 3 STATES: WASHINGTON LEADS, JAMES CLUTCH AS TEANECK DEFEATS RAMAPO 55-50!

006Ramapo,N.J…. Sophomore Leondre Washington scored 30 points and Freshman Ja’Quaye James hit 5 straight clutch free throws late in the game to help #8 Teaneck hold off #1 Ramapo 55-50! Washington(right) who hit 5″triples” in the game and was a tough guard for Ramapo throughout! His isolation game is as good as it gets and he constantly beat Ramapo defenders with pull up jumpers! Ramapo had opportunities to win the game as they trailed Teaneck by two for most of the010 4th quarter, but could not make the big play! With the scored 47-46 Washington went 3-4 from the line to make it 50-46! But after Junior Joe O’Hagan went 1 for 2 from the line James(left) went 5 for 6 from the free throw line down the stretch to secure the win! James finished with 10 points, while Ryan Curtiss finished with 14 points for Ramapo! Teaneck will now travel to West Milford, who defeated Wayne Valley Saturday at 5pm!!
