ST.ANTHONY STIFLES HUDSON CATHOLIC AGAIN 57-42! WIN NORTH NON-PUBLIC B TITLE!

009Rutgers University, New Brunswick,N.J…… St. Anthony’s(right) once again have won the North B Non-Public Title by defeating Hudson Catholic 57-42! It marked the third straight year that Anthony’s ended Hudson’s season! St.Anthony constant was their defensive pressure, particularly the defense that was put on Georgetown commit Reggie Cameron! He was held to 2 points in the first half and finished with 12 for the game! Offensively they were led by Temple commit Josh Brown who scored a game high 16 points! NJIT recruit Tim Coleman added 12 points and Oregon St. commit Hallice Cooke chipped in 9! Cameron’s total led Hudson Catholic, while Robert Morris commit Kavon Stewart scored 9 points and Senior Jared Hall added 8! St. anthony will now play Roselle Catholic Saturday! Hudson Catholic finished it’s season with a 29-2 record!

HERNANDEZ LEADS TEANECK TO THE GROUP 3 SECTIONAL TITLE!!!

010TEANECK,N.J……. Senior Joel Hernandez made 3 out of 4 free throws and Senior Marcus Fulmore made the deciding two free throws to hold off a valiant Sparta team 69-66 to win the North 1 Group 3 Sectional Final! Hernandez hit two free throws with 17 seconds left to give Teaneck a 67-63 lead. Sparta Senior Jake Melville’s”triple cut the lead to one, but Fulmore’s two free throws gave the Highwaymen the deciding points of the game. Teaneck led most of the game but had to withstand Sparta’s late rally! Teaneck had to withstand a desperation shot that hit the front of the rim by Sparta. Hernandez scored 25 points, had 8 rebounds, 5 blocks and 4 steals to led Teaneck! Sophomore Ceasar DeJesus scored 11 points and dished out 5 assists and Senior Shakir Lindsey added 10 points! edge on the boards was led by the Colgate football recruit Melville with 24 points, Sophomore Mitch Cohen who scored 15 points and grabbed 17 rebounds! Senior Zach Frick added 14 points(4 triples) and 6 assists! Teaneck will now face Newark Eastside at East Orange Campus on Thursday!

012-Optimized   Just as expected Hudson Catholic and St. Anthony will meet in the North Non-Public B Championship final! St. Anthony is ranked #1 in the State ,while Hudson Catholic is ranked #2! St. Anthony blewout Hawthorne Christian 68-24 in their Semifinal game as Senior Tim Coleman scored 14 points and Senior Hallice Cooke(bottom)) added 13 points and Junior Tarin Smith chipped in 11! Junior Alex Thomas and Junior Chris Aust lead Hawthone Christian with 6 points a piece! Hudson Catholic has done a tremendous job getting there when you consider they lost three key players by transfer and started the season with three new starters! The constants were Georgetown commit Reggie Cameron and Robert Morris commit Kavon Stewart(pictured)! Cameron led the scoring for the Hawks with 21 points and 11 rebounds, while Stewart filled the stat sheet with 17 points,12 steals,8 assists and 6 rebounds as they defeated Montclair Kimberley 81-49!
