Paramus……..Don Bosco Prep made a huge statement against Paramus Catholic in an easy 81-61 win! with the Bergen County Jamboree Tournament back in effect Sunday,Prep let it be known that they are in this thing to win! They jumped to a 7-0 lead and from that point never looked back! Junior Jemal Mosley and Rutger’s football commit Gary Nova(pictured) led a balanced Prep attack! Prep had 4 players score in double figures led by Mosley’s 18 points(4″triples”) and 5 assists and Nova’s 18 points(3″triples”), 4 assists and 4 steals! Junior Paddy Quinn came off the bench and drained 5 of the team’s 12″triples” to finish with 15 points and Junior Leonte Carroo added 11! Junior 6’7 bigman Dajon Toddman contributed 9 points and 7 rebounds and Freshman Paul Jorgenson added 8 points for Prep! Sophomore Elijah Davis led Paramus Catholic with 20 points and 8 rebounds and Senior Justin Harris added 16 points and 12 boards! Prep plays Tenafly in the quarterfinals Sunday, while Paramus Catholic will regroup against Pascack Valley in their quarterfinal game! 

Pascack Hills Stays Undefeated With 43-42 Win Over Manchester!

Montvale…….Junior Jared Shill(pictured) led a Pascack Hills come from behind victory over Manchester 43-42 to stay undefeated and improve to 19-0! Down most of the contest and by as much as 9 points, The Cowboys slowly chipped away as Manchester’s top player, 6’5 Taquese Franklin picked up his 4th foul midway in the 3rd quarter!Pascack Hills picked up the defensive intensity and held Manchester to 16 points in the 2nd half! Shill and Sophomore Brian Horn each made big shots late in the game to give Hills it’s first lead since early in the 1st quarter! Senior Steve Zurich played big down low with 14 rebounds and 3 blocked shots and was a force contesting shots! Shill finished with 11 points to lead Pascack Hills, while Horn added 10 including the”triple” that gave them the lead for good! Franklin finished with 11 points and 7 rebounds and Senior Zhimir Butler scored 11 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Manchester!

Teaneck Controls Eastside 86-65!

Paterson……… You could not shoot the ball any better than Teaneck did in the 1st half of their 86-65 win over Eastside! Teaneck hit 7″triples” in the half and outscored the Ghosts 48-25! Sophomore Joel Hernandez(22pts) and Junior Chris Jones(20pts,pictured) combined for 42 points in the contest and 5’5 point guard Shakir Lindsey put on a dribbling clinic while scoring 12 points and dropping 10 dimes! Senior Danta Davis finished with 14 points and 8 rebounds! Eastside’s Senior David Burgos gave a great effort finishing with 20 points and 6 assists and Junior DeAndre Noble added 15 points and 8 rebounds, but Eastside’s inconsistent perimeter shooting combined with the play of Teaneck proved to be the key to the contest!
