PASSAIC COUNTY TOURN: THOMAS BIG 4TH LIFTS PASSAIC TO 52-47 WIN OVER CLIFTON

008Passaic,N.J…. Passaic’s Junior Jamir Thomas put his team on his back and carried them to a big 52-47 win over Clifton in a Passaic County Tournament game!

Thomas (pictured)scored 12 of Passaic’s 19 4th quarter points, including two big “triples” to give them the lead for good! Clifton trailed for most of the game, but finally tied the game on a layup from Junior Luis Rodriguez and took the lead on a “triple” by Junior Danny Santana to make the score 41-38! That’s when Thomas made two “triples” in a row to give Passaic a 44-41 lead! After two free throws by Junior Delano Dixon 44-43, Senior Wilmer Sanchez made a “triple” to give Passaic a four point lead that kept Clifton at bay the rest of the way! Thomas finished with 26 points, 12 rebounds and 3 blocked shots, while Senior Jabbar Dela Santos added 12 points! Junior Harton Stephenson led Clifton with 16 points, including 4″triples” and Santana and Dixon finished with 11 and 10 points respectively! Passaic will now play #1 seed Wayne Hills next Saturday February 13th!
