PASSAIC COUNTY TOURNAMENT: #13 PASSAIC DEFEATS #12 PATERSON CHARTER 56-41!

008Paterson,N.J….. 6’6 Sophomore Jamir Thomas(right) scored 13 points and grabbed 13 rebounds and 6’7 Senior John Oguje(left) scored 10 points and pulled down 18 boards and blocked 6 shots to pace Passaic to a 56-41 win over The Paterson Charter in a Passaic County Tournament game! Passaic 009used it’s height advantage to dominate the interior as the Charter School’s leading scorer, 6’6 freshman Armoni Sexton did not play due team violations! His lost was huge as the 38-21 rebounding advantage was too much to overcome! The young Charter school was more than willing as led by Freshman Jaylen Colon they took a 29-28 lead into the 4th quarter, but a “triple from Junior Jordan Hernandez early in the 4th quarter and a putback by Thomas gave Passaic the lead and they outscored Paterson Charter 28-12 in the final stanza to coast to the win! Colon led The Charter with 17 points and 6 steals and Sophomore Jahki Clarke added 8 points,5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals! Passaic will now meet Passaic Valley in the next round of the Counties!
