PASSAIC COUNTY TOURNAMENT: KENNEDY DEFEATS PASSAIC VALLEY 67-56!

Kennedy HS Paterson,NJ….. Kennedy forced 19 1st half turnovers and Junior Jevon Rawls(pictured) scored 18 points, including 10 of 12 from the foul line in Kennedy’s 67-56 Quarterfinal County win over Passaic Valley!

Kennedy’s pressure defense caused problems for P.V. as the Knight’s took a 35-19 lead at the half! Passaic Valley fought back in the 2nd half as Senior Stefan Minic scored 14 of his 23 points! The lead was cut to as little as 5 late but Kennedy held on to move to the semifinals where they will meet Hawthorne Christian next weekend at Kennedy! Sophomore Alphonso Gee scored 16 points, Junior Aalim Jones chipped in 8 points and Junior Jailani Morris hit two of the biggest shots in the game late in the 3rd with back to back “triples”! Minic got help from Senior Mike Cirrincione who scored 14 points!
