004Paterson,NJ…. Junior Shakur Juiston(pictured) was the dominating factor in Eastside’s 50-44 victory over DePaul! The 6’7 Juiston scored 20 points, pulled down 12 rebounds and blocked 3 shots as DePaul had no one in the paint that could contain him! DePaul has to be given plenty of credit for playing tough holding Eastside’s Junior Asem Johnson, their leading scorer at 19 a game to 8 points and keeping the game close mainly behind the play of Junior Spencer Smith off the bench! Eastside played without Senior Ahmad Dadua and Senior Quency Jones but Juiston and their small guard tandem of 5’6 Junior Aaryn Abrams and 5’4 Freshman Nhazir Smith kept Eastside in control! DePaul got a superb effort off the bench from  Smith who led DePaul with 15 points, while they only got 12 from their star guard Juwuan Carter who averages 23! DePaul kept getting close in the game and looked to have momentum when Carter went down the lane and threw down a monster dunk! But two straight buckets from Abrams stemmed the tide and kept Eastside in control albeit slightly! Smith finished with 10 points, while Abrams had 8 points and 2 steals! The Ghosts will now meet Kennedy for the Passaic County title!
