Wayne Valley took a 45-35 lead into the fourth quarter, but the one thing they didn’t take with them was their legs. After going three quarters with just their starting five playing the entire game Valley was a tired team trying to survive.  West Milford took advantage by scoring 10 points in the fourth and holding Valley to no points to tie the game at 45 with 15 seconds left and the ball. That’s when sophomore point guard Jason Rosenberg saved Wayne Valley’s season. Rosenberg proceded to strip the ball from West Milford’s guard at half court and drove to the basket to complete a three point play and give the #10 seeded Indians a 48-45 win over the top seeded West Milford Highlanders and win the Group 3 North Sectional title.  Rosenberg finished with 9 points,6 dimes,4 rebounds and 3 steals. Nick Siljee(16pts,3rebs), Paul Siljee(14pts,7rebs,2stls) and Chris Pantale(7pts,12rebs) all gave their all to the point of exhaustion. West Milford’s senior Nick Resavy carried his team, scoring 23 points, including 5 treys, pulling down 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Jason Sofman and Chad Hauser each finished with 7 points. Sofman’s putback tied the game at 45.
