SOUTH WINS 7TH AND 8TH GRADE GAMES AT J.E.M. BASKETBALLSPOTLIGHT CLASSIC!

022  Trenton Catholic Academy Trenton, N.J……. The 4th annual J.E.M. Basketball Spotlight Classic in memory of Jonelle Elaine Melton and ran by grammar school guru Mike Melton had everything you could want in young talent as the best 6th, 7th and 8th grade players in the East Coast! Gardenstatehoops was there for the 7th and 8th grade games and in both contests the South pulled it off

The 8th grade game was full of talented players that look ready for the highschool scene! The South came awa025y with the win on a late run! Andre Boykin(16pts), Tristan Patterson(15pts), Trevon Duval(12pts), Manny Stokes(12pts) and Lonnie Walker(11pts) led the way at the end! It did not damper the play of the North’s Patrick Stryzala who scored 25 points and is headed to Hudson Catholic! Marcus McClary who is on his way to the Patrick School finished with 13 points, Keith Williams had 12 points and Deondre Bournes finished with 11! Playaz AAU members Jamir Harris and Leondre Washington had 8 points a piece! Stryzala was named player of the game!

                                                                          7th grade Game:     South 65      North 60

Maryland’s Jared Bynum scored 17 points for the South as they also pulled away at the end to win 65-60! Bynum was the player of the game! 020

 

Luther Muhammad of Irvington, N.J. led the North with 16 points!  The Playaz AAU team had 3 representatives in Armoni Sexton, Tyson Etienne and Mikey Watkins(pictured left to right) and they all played well in the contest!
