ST JOSEPH METUCHEN HOLDS ON TO REACH T.O.C. “CHIP”!

009Monmouth University,NJ……The game seemed to be completely under control as St. Joe’s took as big as a twenty point lead and was in control in the 4th quarter against Linden when with 5:20 left Senior Kentucky commit Karl Towns fouled out with Joe’s up 13! Linden made a furious comeback and got to within three before St. Joseph held on to win 63-59 and move into the Tournament Of Champions title game against Newark Eastside! Towns left the game having scored 15 points and pulling down 10 rebounds so it was up to his teammates to pull it out, and though it was a struggle they managed to get it done! Vanderbilt commit Wade Baldwin and Senior Marques Townes each finished with 15 points with Baldwin also grabbing 7 rebounds and dishing out 5 assists! Sophomore Breein Tyree scored 11 points and grabbed 7 boards! Cincinnati recruit Quadri Moore finished with 19 points and 9 rebounds and Junior Otis Livinston scored 16 points and Junior’s Juwan Dolbrice and Josh Carter each chipped in 11 points! St. Joseph did not shoot it’s free throws well but hit just enough to keep the lead late as Baldwin’s free throw iced the game!
