002Paterson,N.J…. As the season winds down Paterson Charter is still a work in progress and it showed in their 70-47 lost to St.Mary’s(Rutherford)! With the lost of Freshman star Amani Sexton to a transfer, a lot of the early season feel good has been drained! While they still play very hard, mental mistakes and finishing around the rim are still an Achilles heel! St. Mary’s on the other hand looked like a team ready to give it a go in the Non-Public B playoffs! Freshman Marc Dadika(picture) has gotten better and better as the season has gone on and it was no different tonight as he scored 17 points and pulled down 13 rebounds with 7 on the offensive end! St.Mary’s who does not lose a starter got 15 points from Junior guard Tim Klarmann and 10 points and 3 steals from Junior Amir Hicks as 8 players put points on the board! St. Mary’s jumped out to a 39-18 halftime lead and never were threatened! Foul trouble by Freshman guard Jaylen Colon and Sophomore Jahki Clark did nothing to help Paterson Charter’s cause! Charter was led by Sophomore Keshawn Roberson who came off the bench to score 10 points! Clark finished with 8!
