021Here we are! After a grueling Highschool season the T.O.C. Championship has come to a head with Newark Eastside at 30-1 going against St.Joseph Metuchen at 29-2! Newark Eastside is trying to become the first Public School to win the T.O.C. since 2000 when Camden H.S. led by Dajuan Wagner captured the title! St. Joseph is trying to win their school’s first T.O.C. after losing to Roselle Catholic in the final last year!

MATCHUP:  Kentucky commit Karl Towns is the most highly decorated player in the State and the main individual stor069y in the game! Newark Eastside and their remarkable Season is the team story! St. Joseph has the best starting five in the State with Towns, Vanderbilt commit Wade Baldwin, Canisius commit Raven Owen, D-1 prospect Marques Townes who are all Seniors and Sophomore Breein Tyree one of the best in his Class and they are an explosive offensive team! But, as good as their five are they are not deep and if one gets in foul trouble as proven when Towns fouled out against Linden and Joe’s had to survive it is a huge problem! Newark Eastside’s strength is their depth and defense! Led by Seton Hall commit Ismael Sanogo Eastside has kept some of the better teams in the State at bay! South Alabama commit Abdul Lewis, Senior’s Akbar Hoffman, Jamar Gilbert and Junior Ahmad Harrison make up Eastside’s starting five but the level doesn’t drop much when Jibreel Ahmad, Re’Quan Lynn or Taj Price enter the game! This could be a classic and a close one, but in the end the thought is Town’s goes out a champ!
