T.O.C. SEMIFINALS PREVIEW: THE PATRICK SCHOOL VS. TEANECK — LINDEN VS DON BOSCO PREP!

 

It has been a great year for Bergen County Basketball as Teaneck and Don Bosco Prep each have made it to the T.O.C. Semifinals! Now each will face the most imposing squad either has faced this season as Teaneck will meet The Patrick School and Don Bosco Prep will face Linden!

Teaneck pulled off a great overtime win over West Side to reach the Semifinal and the Highwaymen will need every ounce of their game to beat the top rated team in the State! What does The Patrick School’s Nick Richards, Jamir Harris, Marcus McClary, Buj Ajang, Buay Koka and Jordan Walker have in common? All will be Division 1 College players next year! And they have at least three players with College offers that come off the bench! So the Teaneck Highwaymen have their hands full, but the thing is with this team they have already proven they won’t just hand it to Pat’s! Led by their backcourt duo of Senior Leondre Washington and Junior Ja’Quaye James(near right) they will have to once again play even better than they have and they both have been playing at a high level! Senior Adrian Baucom and Junior Corey Gordon will have to play big and of course Senior 7 footer Pierre Sow will have to play big inside!

 

Prediction: The Teaneck magic ride will most likely end in this contest as their will be no one that can handle the interior presence of Kentucky commit Nick Richards(top pic) and Walker and Harris(right) are just as good a backcourt as Teaneck’s!                                                                                       DON BOSCO PREP   VS   LINDEN

Don Bosco avoided a lost to Verona because of the play of Junior Marcellus Earlington(3rd right) who scored 19 points and the play off the bench from Senior Manley Dorme and Junior Matt Herame! They will need more quality play from Senior Chris Paul(2nd right), Senior Charlie Bagin and Junior Ron Harper! Prep will not see a better defensive team than they will when they go against Linden! Led by All-State candidate Junior Tavon Jones(near right) and veteran Senior Khalief Crawford Linden who have been ranked the #2 team in the State for much of the year is as tough a team as their is and they put constant pressure throughout a game! Junior Mikey Watkins(far right) spearheads their defense and will knock down the open three, while Senior Joey Krempa is the quarterback of the squad! Senior Marcellus Livingston and Senior Kyree Rodgers provide other options for Linden!

Prediction: Don Bosco is capable of winning this game, but they will need very good backcourt play and be turnover free! Linden has been here before and won’t be phased by anything it sees! Pressure busts pipes and eventually Linden’s pressure will prevail!  Linden 62    Don Bosco Prep  55
