WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY: WHOLE LOT OF LOCAL FLAVOR!!

William Paterson University, Wayne,NJ…GardenStateHoops visited William Paterson University to catch W.P.U. face Lehman University of New York and noticed the William Paterson roster consisted of 11 players from the Northern New Jersey area with each having been recognized by this website(formerly njhoops-journal) at some point in their highschool careers! It was good to see all of these talented players  picked up by Coach Jose Rebimbas still lacing them up but more importantly still pursuing a higher education! William Paterson won the game by a score of 80-76 led by former Fort Lee star Sandy Burgos(Jr.) with 26 points and former Teaneck stud Javae King-Gilchrist(Sr.)(pictured) with 18! The other locals on the squad are Bright Mensah(Soph. Hackensack HS) who also scored 18 points, Mike Alford( Fresh. Paramus Catholic), Gary Whritenour( Fresh. Wood-Ridge HS), Richy Espinal( Fresh. Ridgefield Park), Najea Brown( Jr. St. Anthony), Zack Frick( Fresh. Sparta HS), Manny Hernandez( Jr. Paramus Catholic), Nick Smith( Fresh. Elmwood Park) and Eric Brooks( Sr. Paramus Catholic)! William Paterson should be a formidible squad throughout the NJAC season!
