HUDSON COUNTY TOURNAMENT: ST. PETERS PREP DEFEATS MARIST 44-41!

HUDSON COUNTY CHAMPS: ST. PETERS PREP

High Tech Secaucus, N.J…… In a defensive contest, St. Peters Prep outlasted Marist in a 44-41 win to take the Hudson County Title! Junior Ray Ford scored 14 points and Sophomore Mark Armstrong added 12 points with 3 steals and went 4-5 from the line late to hold off Marist! Marist led at the half 22-19, but St. Peter’s outscored Marist 15-6 in the 3rd to take a 34-28 lead into the final stanza! 9 players scored for Marist, led by Sophomore Donavan Long with 9 points! St. Peters hadn’t won a title in 9 years! This was the final County game for Marist as they will be closing down this Season!

BERGEN COUNTY JAMBOREE FINAL: WILLIAMS AND LANS LEAD ST. JOSEPH REGIONAL TO A COUNTY TITLE!

F.D.U. Teaneck, N.J……Senior Nazir Williams, Junior Daniel Lans and St. Joseph Regional’s guard play led them to a 67-61 win over Bergen Catholic and the 2020 Bergen County Jamboree Title! Williams scored 26 points with 4 assists and 6 rebounds and Lans added 16 points and 4 assists as St. Joe’s took the lead in the 3rd quarter and never trailed again! Lans two consecutive buckets, one on a”triple”and the other on a layup gave Joe’s a 37-33 lead early! Senior Ansley Almonor”triple” gave Joe’s it’s biggest lead of the game 48-39! Williams went 8-10 from the free throw line in the 4th quarter to ice the contest! Almonor scored 9 points and Senior Dyree Rogers added 8! Sophomore Julian Brown led Bergen Catholic with 25 points and Senior Matt Zona finished with 13 points and 9 rebounds!

NJIC CHAMPIONSHIP: SADDLE RIVER DAY DEFEATS PATERSON CHARTER 82-54!

Secaucus, N.J…..Senior Connor Cyran scored 21 points and pulled down 9 rebounds and Junior Sebastian Gianotti added 21 points and 8 rebounds to lead Saddle River Day to a 82-54 win over Paterson Charter and take the NJIC Championship! Saddle River Day shot the lights out in the contest as they made 15 three point shots! Their 12-2 run to start the 3rd quarter gave them a lead that they would not relinguish as they finished the 3rd leading 63-41! Junior Sean O’Neil scored 11 points with 6 rebounds and Freshman Richard Machado finished with 10 points for Saddle River Day! Senior Sadiki Miller led Paterson Charter with 18 points and Senior Marquis Harris added 9 points and 4 steals!
