PASSAIC VALLEY ROLLS PAST INDIAN HILLS 75-51!

003Little Falls,NJ….  Passaic Valley will go as far as their young players take them! Tonight they showed what kind of future they can have! Junior wing Stefan Minic(right) led P.V. with 27 points, including 6004“triples”, Freshman point guard Jihad Wright(left) scored 8 points, dished out 9 dimes to go with 5 steals and 6’8 Sophomore Shawn Ulrich scored 10 points and greabbed 9 boards despite being in foul trouble for stretches of the game! This trio has a chance to make noise as the season goes on, especially as Wright gains experience! P.V.took a 33-21 lead at the end of the 1st half and never really looked back! Indian Hills played without their best player Ryan Warnet due to a sprained ankle and the Hornets took advantage! Junior Dan Cirrincione came off the bench for Ulrich and scored 9 points and pulled down 8 rebounds and Junior Alex Pezzino hit 3″triples” to help keep the pressure on Indian Hills! Hills was led by Junior Matt Jensen with 16 points and Senior Robbie Cariddi with 14!

DEPAUL BEATS KENNEDY 59-49 IN O.T.!

Kennedy H.S., Paterson,N.J….. In a raucous back and forth game DePaul went on a 12-2 run in overtime to defeat Kennedy 006-Optimized59-49! In a wild last 18 seconds, Kennedy had the ball and turned it over with 6 seconds left! DePaul then got the ball and preceded to turn the ball over themselves with the clock not moving which gave Kennedy a chance to win the game! Freshman Alphonso Gee’s jumper was off to send the game into overtime! That’s when DePaul took control! Senior Sanders Green(right) scored 18 points to lead DePaul and Junior Juwaun Carter(left) added 17! Gee led the scoring for Kennedy with 17 points!

HUDSON CATHOLIC GETS SCARE BUT HOLD ON OVER SNYDER 56-53!!

003Snyder H.S., Jersey City, NJ….. In the most hostile environment in probably the State, Hudson Catholic walked into the lio004n’s den at SnyderHighschool against a pumped up undefeated squad and pulled off a tough hard fought win 56-53! With Hudson Catholic leading by 15 in the 2nd half, Snyder behind the play of Senior guard James”Buddha”Richardson who scored 18 of his 22 points after intermission led the way as they actually took a 5 point lead late in the 4th!But Hudson Catholic again relied on their Division 1 commits Reggie Cameron and Kavon Stewart! Cameron(right) scored 21 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, blocked 3 shots and hit two free throws late, while Stewart(left) scored 16 points with 6 dimes and finished the scoring with two late free throws himself! Devin Streeter added 12 points for Snyder!
