Eastside Outlasts Passaic County Tech In O.T. 46-44!

Paterson,N.J……..Senior DeAndre Noble-Haywood hit two free throws in overtime to help Eastside sneak out of their place with a 46-44 victory over Passaic County Tech! Tech was ready to play as each team had trouble finding a consistent flow offensively! The three point shooting of Senior Aazaad Hinton kept Tech in the game and Junior Isaac Williams sent the game into overtime with a floater to make it 39-39! Noble-Haywood finished with a hard fought 15 points with 6 rebounds and Senior Ky’re Jackson added 13 points and 10 rebounds and battled with Tech Senior Jarrod Sykes all night on the boards! Hinton finished with 15 points, while Williams added 9 points! Sykes finished with 12 boards!(Story By: D. Wilbur)

Hudson Catholic Beats Marist 63-40!

Jersey City, N.J………Hudson Catholic got a measure of revenge against Marist, beating them 63-40! Marist handed the Hawks two of their toughest losses of the year last year, twice beating them in overtime including the Semifinals of the Hudson County Tournament! Defense was the key for Hudson throughout the game as they made it difficult for Marist to run their offense! Only Senior transfer Manny Hernandez had a semblance of an offensive game scoring 15 points with 8 rebounds and 4 blocked shots! the Hawks shut everyone else down! Junior Reggie Cameron(pictured) led Hudson Catholic with 18 points and 9 rebounds while Senior Grant Ellis added 13 points and 6 boards and Junior Mike Young had 8 points and 8 rebounds! The Hawks took a 27-12 into the 2nd half and never looked back!
